MOVEMENT TO MUSIC
INTRODUCTION TO THE MOVEMENT TO MUSIC
This is an introduction and presentation class to movement in music.
Here we will analyse the amount of time we dispose to do any movement. This is very relevant. The bigger the quantity of time, the bigger are the possibilities of creating an action in the body, the less quantity of time the more reduced the action gets. But this does not mean it gets annulated; this is the big complexity of dancing fast rithms.
The length of a musical timing where we have to create multiple actions is less than a second. Only the persistent repetition starting in a slow way until it gets to the adequate tempo make us achieve it.
I’ve divided Movement to Music in four big sections basing on the WDSF judges system. Organised for a better learning.
CODE AND LANGUAGE OF MOVEMENT IN MUSIC
In this class we present all that language that we will use to study movement to music. We will talk about the Beat, about Beats groupings and Beats divisions. It is a theoretical class that will help us to understand a musical phrases, bars, syncopations, etc.
It is important to have this theory very clear before starting the work of Movement in Music to know in advance everything that we are going to work on.
TIMING IN SAMBA
LEVEL 1 OF TIMING, SAMBA
Today we explain in detail Level 1 of Timing in Samba, it is important to recognize that it is more difficult than in the rest of the dances.
In Level 1 we will work how we move the vertical axis and also how we absorb and project the back in relation to the Bounce of our knees.
At the end of the class we will see all the exercises in music.
LEVEL 2 OF TIMING, SAMBA
Today we will continue to advance by explaining in detail Level 2 of the Timing that is added to the LEVEL 1. The most important thing to create a good moment is precise when stepping on the ground, for this we use two levels to reach that goal.
