The posture is the capacity of the dancer to achieve and maintain a vertical order of the body in static and movement, including the characteristics of each dance style.
Usually the posture is identified with being straight, but this is not exactly like that.
The body always acts in opposition to compensate itself, so the posture is the ability of controlling this corporal oppositions on every moment with the purpose of transmitting a constant presence at the stage.
Although the posture is a general concept, each style has its own peculiar way of maintaining yourself visible and present at the stage. We will study in a detailed way this positional distinctions of each dance style from the easiest to the most difficult.
